Reserve at Van Oaks Community Development District
The Reserve at Van Oaks Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on January 18, 2022 by the City Commission of the City of Auburndale, Florida Ordinance No. 1684, as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
The proposed District is located entirely within the City of Auburndale, Florida, and covers approximately 119.757 acres of land. The site is generally located west of Mohawk Road, south of Lake Vann Road, north of Adams Road, and east of Polk City Road (Highway 559).
Consent is hereby given to the District to exercise those powers relating to Parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural, and educational uses contained in Section 190. 012 ( 2)( a), and to exercise those powers related to security contained in Section 190. 012 (2)(d) provided however that the District may not exercise any police power, but may contract with the appropriate local general- purpose government agencies for an increased level of such services within the District boundaries.
